WHAT IS BIM?

Building Information Modelling or BIM is the term used to describe the collaborative creation and management of digital information specific to a built asset ie a building or a bridge.

Using specific digital files ranging from basic 2D CAD drawings up to 3D models with
6D features; designers, architects, specifiers, contractors and management companies
are able to see exactly which products and materials a project requires or currently has installed, significantly streamlining the design & construction phases as well as improving the ongoing maintenance operations into the future.
